Our Unlce Bob (US Navy) just left for his flight going back home for West Virginia. My hubby the one who drove him to the airport early in the morning. When he came back he gave a good looking 100 bucks. Yeeeey! It's a 100 dollar dude! He said, I should change it right away so we can use the money to buy some food stuff coz our fridge run out of it. Damn! I even forgot to take picture with the dollar bucks LOL!!! So I told my hubby, we'll go together to JY Square to change the dollar. After his work he come home early so we went JY. The exchange rate was 1 dollar for P 47.35...so I got P4,735.00 (not bad at all right?) My hubby asked me to buy lucky pick lotto for P20.00 then we bought lechon manok on our way home for our dinner. He asked me to give him half of the money so I gave him P 2,500.00 and the rest is mine. I quite happy today coz I money in no sweat at all. Well, it's good thing we have relatives abroad coz when they're home, they give us imported stuffs and dollars.

Orientation of H1N1 flu outbreak

What's H1N1?

The 2009 outbreak of Influenza A virus subtype H1N1 is an epidemic of a new strain of influenza virus identified in April 2009, commonly referred to as "swine flu." It is thought to be a mutation ("reassortment") of four known strains of influenza A virus subtype H1N1: one endemic in humans, one endemic in birds, and two endemic in pigs (swine).[72] The source of the outbreak in humans is still unknown, but cases were first discovered in the U.S. and soon after in Mexico, which had a surge of cases, many of them fatal. As a result, the U.N.'s World Health Organization (WHO), along with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), expressed concern that this could become a worldwide flu pandemic, with WHO raising its alert level to "Phase 5" out of the six maximum, indicating that a pandemic was "imminent."

According to the CDC, it is not yet clear how serious this new virus actually is compared with other influenza viruses. What is known, they state, is that because this is a new virus, most people will not have immunity to it, and illness may eventually become more severe and widespread in different population groups as a result. The H1N1 flu mainly spreads in the same way that regular "seasonal influenza" spreads, which is through the air from coughs and sneezes or touching those infected. It cannot be transmitted from eating cooked pork and there are no confirmed cases of anyone becoming infected with this new strain by being in contact with pigs.

As yet there is no vaccine available to prevent infection although companies are in the planning stages for having one available later this year. But there is concern that the virus could mutate again over the coming months, leading to a new and potentially more dangerous flu outbreak later in the year, and a vaccine that will be less effective in preventing its spread.

As of May 24, the virus had spread to more than 40 countries; however, nearly 90% of reported deaths have taken place in Mexico. This has led to speculation that Mexico may have been in the midst of an unrecognized epidemic for many months prior to the current outbreak. According to the CDC, the fact that the flu's infection activity is now monitored more closely may help explain why more flu cases than normal are being recorded in Mexico, the United States and other countries. About half of all influenza viruses being detected so far are the new H1N1 virus, which "experts acknowledge is no worse than seasonal influenza for now."

Because of this outbreak the DOH agency keep on monitoring and alarming people about this deadly virus. First day of class is fast approaching classess on June 1. The Cebu City acting mayor Michael Rama scheduled an orientation to all teacher's of Cebu City Division at Waterfront Hotel.(Social! hehehe) He invited some personnel from Cebu DOH to give us orientation, lecture's and awareness to us. And event the hot scandal issue of Hayden and Katrina was mentioned. LOL!

What I'd noticed during this event most teacher's were not listening coz they're just chatting to their colleages....LOL!!!! I'm one of them! hehehe! The lecture was quite boring and they tought us this chessy song of H1N1 bisaya song. hehehe! For me this event was a waste of time, money and effort. Why time? Instead goin to the event we just did our chores in school. Why money? most of the teacher spend fair for their taxi and jeepney's. Effort? Going there is quite tiring ...ha! LOL!!!

Some pictures I took during the event.

Disassemble and Assemble CPU

Today, I got excited to my IT class in Benedicto College (A.S. Fortuna, Mandaue City)coz we're to disassemble and assemble a CPU(computering processing unit). I think I have a passion about computers and gadgets coz I really love learning from it.

From school I was the one who carried it,grabe! It's so damn heavy carrying the unit all the way from Bo. Luz to the 3th floor of Benedicto's bldg. although we used elevator when we went up,LOL!

The knowledge, experienced and happiness I did and learned today cannot be paid in cash,LOL. It's really learning experienced! These training really rocks! And Aboitiz Group of Foundation....you are rock! Our teacher (Wilson Sumalinog) was very friendly, jolly and very helpful. He answered all our doubts and questions regarding computer.

When I first open the one side of the case...its really really dusty!!!! It looks like Sahara Desert, LOL!!!! Well, my partner Christine helped me up cleaning the unit. Disassembling the unit I find it an easy task but assembling them back was quite compusing for me. hehehe!
The connector devices made me compused coz I really don't know if I'm doing it right. But when my teacher checked it....damn I did a good job. hehehe! Tom we're going to run the unit and see to it that the computer is running well and smoothly. Well, wish me luck!!!! I hope I wont burn the unit or else I'm busted. hehehe!

Naiwan Ang Wallet

Boracay Island Escapde

My friend invited me to go with their trips to Boracay. She said; its a body builder's contest to be held at Boracay island. I decided to go with them coz it'll just cost me 3,700 for the bus going Caticlan, fastcraft crossing Boracay, hotel and free buffet breakfast. We bought ticket of trans-asia bound Ilo-ilo for just 660. After my IT class in Benedicto at 4pm, I hurriedly rode a taxi for Pier 4 coz the departure of the ship is 6pm. By then, Jen keeps on texting me coz she's so worried that I might not made it on time and fortunately I made it. (LOL) I was so excited then coz this was my first trip to Boracay. The days before my trip, I'm already thinking what I'm goin to do when I get there. hehehe! That night I wasn't able to sleep well coz of so much excitement (I think).

We arrived Ilo-ilo the next day, at 8:30am. We hurriedly went down of the ship coz the bus going Caticlan waited for us outside the port area. Well, I must say the bus was huge and its fully aircon. They said it's a 6 hours travel goin Caticlan. Wow! that was a quite a long travel. At lunch time we had stop over to feed our worms inside our tummy's, so we had lunch at Dean's Resto, Capiz. It's just 15 mins lunch. after that we procceded to our bus to continue our travel goin Caticlan. I fell asleep during our travel I wasn't able to appreciate the place we passed by. At exactly 4pm we arrived at Caticlan, so we hurriedly went inside the terminal then rode again a fastcraft bound for Boracay Island.

First step I said to my self, thanks God I arrived safe here. We rode again multicab goin to La Carmela Resort Hotel. When I saw the hotel i didn't expect that it's that nice coz of my payment did. hehehe. It's really worth it! Our room with 2 double bed size and its good for 4 person. It has cable TV and aircon. I saw billboard of Boy Abunda (famous host of ABS-CBN) I was thinking he's the endorcer of this place. I love the hotel coz its beach front, has a pool, resto and the coffee shop has free access to wifi. I only used the wifi once coz we're so busy roaming the island and attending party. I think I was in a right place at the right time. Theirs lots of events namely, DragonBoat Competition, Nescafe, Myx, MTV, Smart and the Century Tuna. I saw lots of famous faces of local artist.

I love the beach, white fine sand and sea blue water. I loved to swim coz the water was cold even the it is considered hot. Sexy ladies wore bikini in Boracay. i don't have sexy body I don't have the guts to show up. hehehe. Foods there are quite expensive so we better look for cheapest resto to eat with. We tried eat all you can resto that has lots of seafoods, grabe! We're so damn full then.

All I can say its the best place to spend vacation. Amazing place and the people are so nice too. Although staying there are quite expensive.
